We filtered the results down to only a few legacy airlines. We filtered in order to have a good grounds for comparison using same airlines. So one route we chose quite a straight forward route from Dubai to Milan to new York and return is the same. As you can see, the flight has very few stops and is quite straight forward towards your destination. Might save your timr during travel. However it wont save you money because it costs $1677. Compare this with the other flight we found for same filters and same start and destination.

This flight price is $1410. That is $267 cheaper than the one above that is straight forward. The only difference between the two flights is that one has lesser stops and is quite time saving whereas the other one has more stops but also is more money saving. Therefore you see that choosing your route wisely might actually save you some amount of money.

Therefore when you want to book open jaw flights to save money, you should always compare all the routes available for your flight destinations and check which one has the lowest price. Always remember to use the airline filters to either set all the routes to be having budget airlines or to be having legacy airlines. This is because some routes might seem too cheap but its because they are connecting using budget airlines. You cant get a good comparison if you are mixing legacy airlines with budget airlines. They both have same number of stops but the most interesting thing is that the timing for both is not the same. If you look at the time that the first flight returned to Dubai is o4:50 on 15 dec 2019 whereas the second flight returned on 16:50 on 14th dec 2019. That’s a difference of 12 hours. Therefore whenever you want to book open jaw flights to save time, always check the routes available to see which one takes shorter time to reach or to return. Also its wise to look at the routes themselves to see which ones are shorter than others. If you don’t know about the distances between these places you can use the google maps to check the distances.
